POKOTABI / Nekko Cafe
ねっこカフェ
Located on an upper floor near Ikebukuro's west exit, Nekko Cafe opens weekend afternoons with resident cats, bathing-cat lattes, and cafe-bar cocktails.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Perched on the 4th floor of a multi-tenant commercial building near the west exit of Ikebukuro Station, Nekko Cafe operates as a quiet coffee spot solely on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Stepping away from the bustling atmosphere of standard large cat cafes, the compact lounge lets guests unwind while observing the gentle presence of the resident felines close at hand.
The signature highlight of the drink menu is the playful bathing-cat latte. Built on a cafe latte or royal milk tea base, it lets diners pour their desired amount of milk over a cat-shaped ice feature, watching the subtle gradations develop in the glass. Standard drip coffee, lattes, royal milk teas, and fruit juices round out the soft drink selections.
Beyond afternoon tea fare, the menu extends to alcoholic drinks, including a rum-infused Ramu's Refreshing Breath, a whiskey-laced Kiel's Unexpected Side, amaretto lattes, and bottled beers. Reservations are accepted for table seating, and multiple cashless payment methods are accommodated. For a tranquil weekend hideaway in Ikebukuro, it offers a soothing space to linger over a drink beside resting cats.
